I recently completed a short sale negotiation for Todd and Valerie Hall In Taylor Michigan. Watch the video above to hear what they have to say in their own words and feel free to read some of the kind words they shared with me below.

Over the past few years we’ve come across times of significant financial strain. It seems like just getting by in this world requires more and more money…to say nothing about actually trying to “Prosper”.

Truth be told, the last few years have felt almost like a nightmare. Our home, which was rather nice, began to feel like a prison. The payments just kept going up and up and up. Things just weren’t affordable anymore and contacting our lender, EMC, didn’t get us anywhere. Their idea of “working with us” and our idea of the same were two worlds apart.

Both of us ended up working two jobs just in order to keep the bills paid. If there was any bumps in our employment (overtime not been granted, shutdown time, etc.) then things began to fall behind. We both realized we were working our life away and a huge portion of our bills monthly bills was coming from our unaffordable house payment.

With our youngest daughter leaving for college it quickly became apparent that we needed to downsize to a more affordable place. Unfortunately, the market has taken such a battering that we owed significantly more on our home than what it was worth. Our friend Kevin told us about Brian Kurtz, and said that he specialize in helping people in our situation and promised to arrange a meeting.

Once we met with Brian it quickly became apparent that we were going to get some results. He spoke with knowledge and confidence about every step of the process and when we left that day we knew more about “Short Sales” than most Realtors do.

Brian placed our home on the market and began marketing it very aggressively. Even with that being the case it still took almost a month for us to get an offer on the table. Once we had our offer, Brian took the fight to our bank in an effort to help them understand that we needed to be able to sell the home all costs or we were going to be losing it to foreclosure.

In all we owed $256,970 against the house. The best offer that we could get was $175,000. When all was said and done Brian was able to convince our mortgage companies to accept only $158,954.57 at closing. He was even able to get our bank to pay the taxes that were due.

That’s a difference of $98,015.43 from what we owed!!!

While we were skeptical at the time we first met Brian Kurtz, we now know the Brian really can do what he says. It seems like he’s almost some type of miracle worker!

If you cannot afford your home and you owe more on it than what it is worth we both highly advise that you give Brian a call. He knows what he’s doing. He went the extra mile for us and we’re sure he’ll do the same for you.
